Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism defines, directs, executes, coordinates and oversees Peru’s foreign trade and tourism policies.
It has responsibility over the promotion of exports and international trade negotiations in coordination with the ministries of Foreign Affairs, and Economy and Finance and other government agencies within their respective fields of competence. It is also charged with regulating foreign trade.
The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism directs the State’s international trade negotiations and is authorized to sign agreements within the Ministry’s field of competence. As regards tourism, the Minister promotes, guides and regulates tourist activities to foster this industry’s sustainable development, including promoting, guiding and regulating handicrafts-related activities.
